What sets this unit apart from our standard up timers is its unique dual-control system, designed to give athletes and trainers maximum control during high-intensity events.
Key Functional Features
- Foot Switch Operation:
The integrated foot switch serves as the start, stop, and restart control. It’s wired directly into the opto baseboard with a 25-foot cable, giving users plenty of flexibility on the course.- To start the timer, press and hold the foot switch. Release it to begin the count-up sequence.
- It counts up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds, ideal for both short and long-duration challenges.
- To pause or stop the timer, simply tap the foot switch again.
- For a complete reset, press and hold the switch once more.
This allows competitors to easily manage their timing without leaving their starting position — perfect for quick restarts or safety pauses in case of a false start.
Emergency Stop and Finish Line Precision
A large 40mm heavy-duty red palm switch is positioned at the finish line, allowing competitors or judges to stop the timer instantly at the end of a run. This ensures accurate finish times down to hundredths of a second, providing precise measurements for competitive training or time trials.
Display and Construction
The DC-256T-UP-TERM features a bright 2.3-inch LED display that can be easily read from up to 120 feet away, ensuring visibility even in large gym environments. The six-digit format displays minutes, seconds, tenths, and hundredths, providing full resolution for precision timing.
Built for durability, the enclosure is made from heavy-duty extruded aluminum with a black powder-coated, fingerprint-resistant finish. It includes two slotted teardrop mounting tabs for easy installation and angle adjustment.
Power is supplied through a universal 120-240 VAC wall adapter with a 6-foot cord, included with the unit for convenience.
