The device name provides another convenient access method on compatible networks through MDNS. When the network and router support MDNS, the customized device name can be entered as a local network address in a web browser to return directly to the display’s homepage. This can make accessing the display easier without requiring users to locate or remember its numerical IP address.

Security is also incorporated into the network configuration. A password-protected section prevents unauthorized users from changing important network settings. Authorized users can modify the username and password, helping control access to configuration functions.

The configuration page brings the primary time and network settings together in one location. Administrators can configure NTP servers, select the desired update interval, choose the hour format, and establish the appropriate time zone. This allows the same basic display platform to be adapted to different network environments and timekeeping requirements.
