Companies and individuals needing a dependable way to count parts, objects, units, or other items can use the DC-Digital DC-25C-PKG as a complete counting solution. The package combines a four-digit LED counter with an infrared diffused reflective sensor, sensor mounting hardware, environmentally sealed control switches, a junction box, and extended cabling. This configuration provides the components needed to automatically increment a count as objects pass within the sensor’s detection range while also providing convenient manual controls for decrementing or resetting the displayed count.

At the center of the system is the DC-25C-TERM four-digit digital counter, which counts upward by ones to a maximum of 9999. The counter uses four super-bright 2.3-inch red LED digits that provide a clear numerical display from distances up to 120 feet. The display responds to the sensor’s increment signal with a response time of up to 10 milliseconds, making the system suitable for applications where objects are being counted at a consistent production or processing rate.

The included diffused reflective infrared sensor provides automatic object detection without requiring a separate reflector. Its detection range can be adjusted from approximately 1 inch to 10 feet, allowing the sensor to be positioned according to the size, shape, and movement of the objects being counted. The sensor includes an attached and potted 6-foot cable for added protection, while the supplied mounting bracket allows the sensor to be positioned toward the counting area.

The DC-25C-PKG also provides manual control over the displayed count. The environmentally sealed push-button switches allow an operator to decrement the count when a counting correction is necessary and reset the counter to zero when beginning a new batch, production run, inventory cycle, or other counting sequence. The switches are mounted in a stainless-steel junction box and supplied with 25 feet of cabling, allowing the controls to be positioned where they are convenient for operators.

The counter accepts a PNP source pulse from the supplied infrared sensor for automatic incrementing. Decrement and reset-to-zero functions are controlled through momentary contact closures from the environmentally sealed remote switches. Internal terminal blocks provide the control connections, making the system suitable for integration into a variety of counting installations.

The DC-25C-TERM display is housed in a 14-gauge aluminum IP-60 enclosure with a textured, fingerprint-resistant black powder-coated finish. The enclosure measures approximately 9-3/4 inches wide by 4-3/4 inches tall by 3 inches deep and is designed for mounting to a 4 x 4 or 2 x 4 electrical rough-in box using its slotted teardrop knockout. The display can operate from the included 120–240 VAC wall adapter or from customer-supplied 24 VDC power through the terminal block.
