Crescent System Inc. has reached out to DC-Digital for a newer, more simpler method of telling military time and their own time zone. The DC-256TZ-2 is a custom-built dual time zone digital clock designed for clients who need to clearly display two different time zones simultaneously. This model is frequently used in environments where precision and clarity are essential, such as military bases, operations centers, transportation hubs, and international business settings.

At its core, the DC-256TZ-2 operates with a master clock on the far left and a secondary clock to the right. The secondary clock is always dependent on the master clock down to the second, ensuring that both time zones remain perfectly synchronized. To enhance usability, we also provide custom vinyl captions, allowing clients to label each clock with the desired city, region, or time zone.

How It Works

The unit is powered and set manually using push button switches conveniently located on the enclosure. The buttons provide the user with full control over both the master and secondary clocks.

Key functions include:

• 12/24-Hour Format Button – Toggle easily between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats.
• Set Hours, Minutes, and Seconds for the Master Zone – Adjust each increment for the primary time zone. When minutes are adjusted, the seconds automatically reset to zero.
• Secondary Clock Adjustment – A dedicated button allows users to set hours individually and adjust minutes in 15-minute increments, providing flexibility for international or military time offsets.

This straightforward control system ensures that the DC-256TZ-2 can be quickly set up and adjusted with minimal training.

• Display: Two 2.3-inch high-visibility LED displays per zone, viewable up to 120 feet.
• Digits: Each zone features six digits (hours, minutes, seconds), totaling twelve digits across the unit.
• Power: Operates on 120–240 VAC with a standard 6 ft. power cord.
• Mounting: Four slotted mounting tabs for secure installation on walls or racks.
• Battery Backup: A rechargeable 9V battery automatically powers the clock during outages, maintaining timekeeping without interruption.

Customization Options

Clients have the ability to personalize the vinyl captions displayed above each zone. Whether labeling time as Central and Zulu, or identifying any global city or military designation, the captions make the unit adaptable for a wide range of applications.
