With the introduction of the Version 3.3 Webpage Configuration, our network clock systems have taken a significant step forward in usability, flexibility, and performance. This latest update focuses entirely on refining the user experience while expanding the system’s functional capabilities.

At the core of this setup is the DC-406N-POE Clock, connected via a standard RJ45 Ethernet interface. Once connected, users can access the redesigned web interface, which now features a streamlined white and blue layout. This updated design is not just cosmetic—it is structured to provide immediate visibility into the most important system data.

The top section of the interface prominently displays the current time, ensuring that users can instantly verify synchronization. Directly below, detailed NTP server information is presented, including the active server address, last successful synchronization, current status, and update interval. This level of transparency allows administrators to quickly diagnose synchronization issues or confirm proper operation.

Network information is also clearly organized within the interface. Users can view essential details such as the device name, MAC address, IP address, and additional network parameters. This centralized visibility simplifies device management, particularly in environments with multiple connected units.

Configuration flexibility is a defining feature of Version 3.3. Network settings allow users to:

  • Switch between DHCP and static IP addressing
  • Define a custom device name that updates instantly on the interface
  • Adjust link speed to match network infrastructure requirements

These options ensure compatibility with a wide range of network environments while maintaining ease of use.

One of the most impactful upgrades is the implementation of NTP server pooling. Rather than relying on a single time source, users can now configure up to three NTP servers. If the primary server fails, the system automatically attempts synchronization with the remaining servers, continuously cycling until a successful connection is established. This redundancy significantly enhances reliability in mission-critical applications.

Security has also been addressed with the addition of password-protected access to configuration and network settings. Only authorized users can make changes, reducing the risk of accidental or unauthorized modifications. Default login credentials can be customized, providing an added layer of protection.

Time configuration options have been expanded to accommodate global deployment. Users can select between 12-hour and 24-hour display formats, depending on their operational preference. Additionally, the system now includes a comprehensive list of 74 predefined time zones, replacing the need for manual POSIX string entries. These time zones automatically adjust for daylight saving time based on regional rules, ensuring consistent accuracy throughout the year.

For applications that require environmental awareness, the optional temperature probe integration provides added functionality. When installed, the display alternates between time and temperature readings, offering real-time environmental data alongside synchronized timekeeping. Users can configure:

  • Temperature display units (Fahrenheit or Celsius)
  • Offset adjustments for calibration accuracy
