In the pharmaceutical industry, precise timing is critical to ensure the safety, quality, and efficacy of products. Whether you’re conducting laboratory tests, manufacturing processes, or running quality control procedures, having a reliable countdown timer is essential. Introducing the Pharmaceutical Production and Testing LED Countdown Timer (developed for MAC Medical)– a robust, easy-to-use, and highly efficient tool designed to meet the demanding needs of the pharmaceutical sector.

DC-256T-UP-TERM freezer door timer is a purpose-built, single-action timing solution designed to accurately measure how long a freezer door remains open or how long a person is inside a freezer environment. Built for demanding cold-storage applications such as those used by Polar King, this custom unit delivers clear visibility, simple operation, and dependable performance in a sealed industrial enclosure.

The DC-256T-UP-TERM operates as a straightforward count-up timer triggered by a dry contact closure. When the freezer door opens and the contacts close, the timer begins counting upward immediately. The display provides a clear visual indication of elapsed time, allowing staff to quickly assess how long the door has been open. Once the contacts open—such as when the door closes—the timer instantly resets, preparing for the next cycle. This single-action functionality eliminates complexity while ensuring accurate duration tracking for compliance, safety monitoring, or temperature control management.

Housed in a rugged hinged-front NEMA 4X enclosure, the unit is designed for harsh and moisture-prone environments. The enclosure features sealed latches with integrated safety tabs that must be intentionally disengaged before opening, ensuring protection against accidental access. Inside, two thumb screws allow controlled access to the internal components for wiring and setup.

Internally, the unit includes:

  • A clearly accessible terminal block for straightforward field wiring
  • A universal 110/120–240 VAC power supply
  • Internal voltage conversion to 12V for reliable timer operation
  • Clean cable routing designed for terminal block connection

Connection is simple. A pair of cables extends from the unit and ties directly into the customer’s terminal block inside the enclosure. Once wired, the system is ready to monitor door-open events without additional programming or complex configuration.

The enclosure itself is designed for easy installation. Rear mounting tabs with dedicated mounting screw locations allow the unit to be securely fastened to a wall or structural surface. After wiring is complete, the hinged front panel closes securely, restoring the enclosure’s sealed integrity.

Key functional highlights of the DC-256T-UP-TERM include:

  • Single-action count-up timing
  • Automatic reset when contacts open
  • Clear visual elapsed-time display
  • Sealed NEMA 4X enclosure for freezer environments
  • Universal input power (110/120–240 VAC)
  • Internal 12V conversion for stable operation
  • Simple terminal block wiring access
  • Wall-mountable design with rear mounting tabs

This custom timer is ideal for monitoring freezer door open duration, tracking occupancy time inside refrigerated spaces, and supporting operational accountability. By providing immediate visual feedback and dependable reset functionality, the DC-256T-UP-TERM ensures freezer access events are measured accurately and consistently in demanding cold-storage applications.
