South Kitsap School District has reached out to DC-Digital for their standard, secondary clocks to connect to their own master clock. The DC-25-1200-24 Secondary Time of Day Clock is designed to provide a clear, reliable 12-hour time display when synchronized with a master clock system. This standard secondary clock operates by directly tying into the same power source as the master clock, using shared neutral (white) and hot (black) wiring. By doing so, it ensures accurate time alignment while maintaining a simple and dependable installation method for industrial, commercial, and facility-wide timing applications.

This model follows a unique and intentional 12-hour reset cycle. After twelve hours of continuous operation, the internal power is briefly interrupted, causing the display to reset and return to 12:00. This reset occurs automatically and lasts only a few seconds before the unit resumes normal operation. The cycle repeats every twelve hours, ensuring the clock consistently maintains its intended 12-hour format without drifting or requiring manual adjustment.

In practical use, when the display approaches 12:00, the power interruption simulates a brief shutdown. Once power is restored, the display immediately resets to 12:00 and continues counting forward. This behavior is inherent to the design and is controlled entirely through its connection to the master clock’s wiring, eliminating the need for additional programming or user interaction.

From a hardware standpoint, the DC-25-1200-24 is built for durability and visibility. The enclosure is constructed from black powder-coated, 14-gauge aluminum, providing strong protection in demanding environments while maintaining a clean, professional appearance. The enclosure measures 9 inches wide, 4 inches tall, and 3 inches deep, making it compact enough for flexible mounting while still allowing ample internal space for wiring.

The display features four large digits, each measuring 2.3 inches in height. These digits are designed for long-distance visibility and can be clearly read from up to 120 feet away. The clock displays time of day exclusively in a 12-hour format, making it ideal for facilities that rely on traditional time representation.
