This specialized unit is being shipped to a U.S. Navy facility, where it will play a critical role in training naval fleet members with underwater autonomous vehicles. Designed for precise monitoring and testing under challenging conditions, this timer is integral to ensuring safety and performance during vacuum pressure simulations across multiple vehicles simultaneously.

The DC-10T-DN-NEMA-ANDON is purpose-built to alert trainees if a pressure leak occurs in the testing hall due to vehicle malfunctions. The system operates in conjunction with a DWYER DPG-200 pressure gauge, monitoring the submarine’s internal pressure and providing visual and audible feedback for pass/fail outcomes.

Key Functions of the Timer:

  • User Interface: The unit features a clear 1-inch digit display visible up to 25 feet, a multicolored ANDON light, and tactile push buttons that simulate vehicle pressure.
  • Countdown Control: Using the wireless handheld controller, operators can set hours, minutes, and seconds, or reset the timer to zero. A start/stop button allows precise control of the countdown sequence.
  • Visual Alerts:
    • Yellow Flash: Indicates the timer is actively counting down.
    • Red Flash: Signals that the pressure has exceeded the vehicle’s maximum tolerance, requiring the process to restart.
    • Green Flash: Occurs at the end of a successful countdown, indicating the pressure remained within the specified range.
  • Audible Feedback: An integrated EOP buzzer sounds at the end of the countdown, complementing the ANDON light for clear status signaling.

Hardware Specifications:

  • Enclosure: NEMA-rated polycarbonate, providing robust protection in demanding environments.
  • Power Supply: 120–240 VAC direct-wired power cord, 9 ft in length.
  • Remote Control: RF-wireless handheld controller with a range of 1,500 ft outdoors and 300 ft indoors, allowing remote timing adjustments.
  • Mounting: Corner anchor points on the back of the enclosure for secure installation.

Accessories and Integration:

  • Built-in multicolored ANDON light.
  • EOP buzzer for audible end-of-period signals.
  • Direct connection to the DWYER DPG-200 pressure gauge for synchronized timing and pressure measurement.
