DC-Digital is well versed in crafting our clean room products. Recently we received a large order for clean room displays from Pfizer, a global leader in creating medicine and vaccines. At this specific Pfizer plant in Michigan, they manufacture and package penicillin. Today, we’re highlighting one of our newest custom orders: the DC-25ALN-Date-Time-POE-Stainless. This unit was designed specifically for demanding environments where precision timekeeping, durability, and easy maintenance are critical. Built in a 316L stainless steel enclosure, this clock is ideal for clean rooms, laboratories, and other controlled environments requiring IP-66 protection.

The front of the unit features 2.3-inch alphanumeric red LEDs for displaying the date in a clear day/month/year format, paired with 4-inch seven-segment red LEDs that show the time of day. The clock can be configured to display in either 12-hour or 24-hour formats, with automatic adjustments for daylight savings and time zones, all managed through its internal software.

Power & Connectivity

This clock is powered through Power over Ethernet (POE), which combines both data and power into a single cable for simplified installation. The rear of the enclosure includes a cable gland to secure your Ethernet connection. Once connected, the clock hosts a built-in webpage that can be accessed directly from your network. This eliminates the need for additional software or complex configurations.

Through the web interface, users can view and manage:

  • Current date and time (automatically synchronized via NTP protocol)
  • NTP server address and synchronization interval
  • Network information, including static IP, gateway, DNS, and MAC address
  • Device name (customizable for location-based identification)
  • Time zone and daylight savings settings
  • Username and password for secure access

Setup & Mounting

The DC-25ALN-Date-Time-POE-Stainless is easy to install. Its enclosure features 12 front screws with a closed-cell gasket, ensuring a watertight seal when mounted. Inside, acrylic lenses protect the LED displays while allowing easy cleaning. For wall mounting, the case provides three anchor points—two keyhole tabs and one standard mounting hole. An added closed-cell foam backing helps seal the clock securely to the wall, preventing moisture entry.

Web-Based Management

Using our provided NetBurner IP setup tool, you can quickly locate the unit on your network and begin configuration. Once online, the onboard webpage displays all clock information, including synchronization history and status. Updates from the NTP server (e.g., time.nist.gov) are performed automatically, with intervals adjustable from once per minute up to every 1800 minutes.

If multiple clocks are deployed across your facility, they can be combined into a centralized web server system, allowing you to monitor and manage them all from a single interface.
