The DC-40T-DN-BCD-NEMA-EOP is a highly reliable and efficient countdown timer designed to simplify workflow management during powder coating operations. This model is particularly useful in environments where workers need to coat one side of an object and then switch to the other side at regular intervals. By using this timer, shop managers and operators can ensure a consistent coating process without overexposure on one side—maintaining quality, efficiency, and timing precision across the production floor.

This countdown timer provides an audible and visual alert, making it easy for workers to know exactly when to switch sides or begin the next step in their coating process. Once the duration is set, the system counts down and triggers both a horn and an Andon light to notify personnel when it’s time to change positions or tasks. This not only boosts productivity but also enhances coordination among workers handling multiple coating operations simultaneously.

Key Features and Functionality

The DC-40T-DN-BCD-NEMA-EOP allows the user to easily set the countdown duration through a set of internal BCD dials located inside the unit’s protective enclosure. Adjustments are simple—open the compartment, rotate the dials to the desired time, and confirm the change by pressing the control button three times. The display will then automatically reflect the updated time value.

Additional features include:

  • Variable Horn Duration: The horn activation time can be customized using a bottom-mounted button. One press shows the current horn duration, and subsequent presses adjust the time incrementally from 0 to 10 minutes. Holding the button resets it back to zero.
  • Quick Reset Function: Users can stop or reset the timer at any point by pressing the same control button again, returning the unit to its preset top value for the next cycle.
  • Reliable Visual and Audible Alerts: A 90 dB siren and IP67-rated Andon light work together to provide clear signals even in noisy industrial environments.

Durability and Design

This model is housed within a NEMA 4X, IP66-rated enclosure, ensuring maximum protection against dust, water, and harsh environmental conditions—ideal for industrial powder coating settings. The four-inch LED display is bright and visible from distances up to 200 feet, allowing supervisors and workers to easily monitor the countdown status from across the workspace.
