This custom DC-40T-DN-W Minutes and Seconds Countdown Timer system was built specifically for Hanson Silo Company, a concrete manufacturing facility looking to precisely control their powder coating and washing processes. The goal of this system is to limit how long cleaning and coating equipment remains active for each batch, ensuring consistent production timing and preventing overuse of machinery before transitioning to the next cycle.

At the center of this setup is the DC-40T-DN-W Master Countdown Timer, flanked by two secondary countdown timers. All three displays operate in perfect synchronization. Whatever time is set on the master is instantly mirrored on both secondary units, providing clear, consistent visibility across the work area. This makes it easy for operators and supervisors to monitor remaining process time at a glance from multiple locations on the production floor.

The system operates using a wireless handheld remote controller. The operator sets the desired countdown time directly from the remote, and once started, the master and both secondary timers immediately begin counting down from the programmed value. This allows Hanson Silo Company to define exactly how long washers or powder coating equipment should remain operational before moving on to the next batch.

A key difference between this model and many other countdown timers is its minutes-and-seconds display format. Instead of hours, minutes, and seconds, this system is optimized for short-duration industrial processes, displaying up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds with precision and clarity.

Using the wireless remote controller, operators can:

  • Start and stop the countdown at any time
  • Pause the countdown during operation
  • Reset the display back to the last programmed value
  • Reset the system entirely back to zero
  • Independently set minutes and seconds for precise timing control

For example, an operator can set a countdown time of 10 minutes and 15 seconds by incrementing the minutes and seconds directly from the remote. Once started, the system counts down smoothly across all three displays. If the process is paused, the last value function allows the timer to instantly return to the originally set time, eliminating the need to reprogram the countdown.

This level of control helps ensure consistent processing windows, reduces human error, and supports efficient batch-to-batch transitions in demanding industrial environments.

Key functional highlights of the DC-40T-DN-W Countdown Timer system include:

  • Wireless time setting and control
  • Synchronized master and secondary displays
  • Minutes and seconds countdown format
  • Clear visibility for operators across the facility
  • Precise control over equipment runtime per batch

From a hardware standpoint, this system is designed for durability and long-term reliability in industrial settings.

Hardware and construction details:

  • Tough 14-gauge aluminum enclosures
  • Black powder-coated finish that is fingerprint and dust resistant
  • Four-inch LED displays on each unit
  • Viewing distance up to 200 feet
  • Four-digit display capable of showing up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds
  • Power supplied via 120–240V 12VDC wall adapters with six-foot cords
  • Rear-mounted 4×4 or 2×4 teardrop knockouts for flexible mounting options

This custom order includes one DC-40T-DN-W Master Countdown Timer positioned centrally, along with two DC-40-4W-SYSTEM secondary countdown timers that mirror the master’s display. The wireless handheld remote controller completes the system, offering reliable operation at distances of up to 1,500 feet outdoors and approximately 300 feet indoors.

Together, this countdown timer solution gives Hanson Silo Company a reliable, easy-to-use way to manage process timing, maintain production consistency, and ensure their powder coating and washing equipment operates within clearly defined time limits for every batch.
