The DC-60T-UP-TERM digital timer has proven itself as both a tool for entertainment and a solution for serious industrial needs. Recently, the Fort Worth Zoo incorporated this unit into an interactive display, allowing visitors to see how long they could hold their breath. With its 6-inch red LED digits, the timer gave clear, accurate readouts that could be seen from a distance, making it engaging for participants and observers alike. The flexible control wiring allowed the zoo to set up start/stop and reset functions that made the activity smooth, reliable, and fun for guests of all ages.

While this is an exciting and creative use of the DC-60T-UP-TERM, the timer is designed first and foremost for demanding environments where precision and durability matter most. Built with a powder-coated aluminum extrusion case and rated IP66 dustproof and watertight, the unit is rugged enough for factory floors, laboratories, and outdoor installations.

Key Features of the DC-60T-UP-TERM

  • 6-inch high-visibility red LED digits for long-distance readability
  • Automatic display adjustment (hundredths of seconds, minutes, hours) depending on elapsed time
  • Separate junction boxes for controls and power wiring
  • Three distinct control functions: start/stop, reset to zero, reset with auto-restart
  • 100–240V AC input with labeled pigtail connections for easy installation
  • Flexible mounting with teardrop-shaped tabs on the case

In a business or industrial setting, these features make the DC-60T-UP-TERM ideal for:

  • Production line monitoring to track process times

  • Process control in manufacturing environments where visibility and reliability are essential

The Fort Worth Zoo demonstrates the versatility of the DC-60T-UP-TERM in a creative, guest-facing application.
