The California Department of Transportation selected a DC-Digital network time-of-day clock to provide accurate, synchronized time across its facilities using the department’s existing Ethernet network infrastructure.

With the clock connected through an Ethernet network drop, the system synchronizes automatically to an NTP server. This allows the department to use its existing network time server as the master time reference, providing consistent time without the need for dedicated wiring between individual clocks.

The network synchronization helps keep personnel and facilities on the same accurate time, reducing confusion and providing a reliable time reference throughout the department.

The DC-Digital network clock features four-inch super-bright red LED digits with a viewing distance of up to 200 feet. The time display supports either 12- or 24-hour formatting and can be configured for the desired time zone. DHCP or Static IP addressing can be selected, while an onboard web interface provides convenient programming and configuration.

The clock is housed in a durable, black powder-coated aluminum enclosure designed for commercial applications. NEMA 4X and IP66 enclosure options are also available for applications requiring additional environmental protection.
