This custom DC-256T-UP-Code-Blue-Timer-Clock-Remote-Set-Switch was designed for American Hospital in Daubi. This unit was made for hospital environments where a single display can serve as a Code Blue timer, count-up timer with alarm, and synchronized time-of-day clock. The six-digit, 2.3-inch display operates over the same two-wire network that distributes both power and data, allowing it to receive accurate time information from EZ-Time software or a GPS master clock system while also supporting timer and emergency functions.
During normal operation, the display can show the current time of day synchronized to the facility master clock. When timing functions are required, the system can switch to timer mode using the remote switch panel. An LED indicator on the keypad confirms timer mode selection, and the timer can be programmed in minutes or hours depending on the application. The timer counts upward to a predetermined set value and automatically activates an End-of-Period buzzer when the programmed time has been reached. The integrated alarm emits a three-second audible signal to notify staff that the timing interval has ended.
The highest priority function of the system is Code Blue operation. Activating the Code Blue switch immediately overrides both the time-of-day display and any timer function currently in progress. The three-push functionality allows users to reset and start the Code Blue timer, stop the timer when needed, and then return the display to the value or operating mode that was active before the emergency sequence began. This enables staff to quickly initiate timing during critical events while maintaining normal clock and timer functions when emergencies are over.
The multifunction switch assembly is connected directly to the display and receives power from the display itself. The separate Code Blue switch interfaces with the wall-mounted control station, providing a simple and reliable method for emergency activation. Flush-mounted controls are standard, with optional stainless steel versions available for facilities requiring enhanced durability or specialized finishes.
When neither the timer nor Code Blue functions are in use, the display automatically returns to showing synchronized time of day, ensuring that personnel always have access to accurate clock information supplied by EZ-Time software or a GPS master clock source.
