Built as a true multi-purpose unit, the DC-25UTW-DS functions as both a real-time clock and a precision timer. Switching between modes is seamless using our wireless WRC-8T remote controller, allowing staff to transition from displaying the time of day to managing structured speaking intervals instantly. With a wireless operating range of up to 1500 feet outdoors and 300 feet indoors, the remote provides reliable control even in large meeting halls or multi-purpose rooms.

Setting the time of day is straightforward. Using the wireless remote, operators can adjust hours and minutes in 12-hour format with dedicated “Set Hours” and “Set Minutes” buttons. The display increments smoothly until the correct time is reached, and with a press of the button, the selection locks in. This makes on-the-fly corrections quick and intuitive without disrupting proceedings.

When switching to timer mode, the unit offers both count-up and count-down functionality. A small indicator dot on the display clearly shows whether the unit is in up-timer or down-timer mode, eliminating confusion during operation.

In up-timer mode, the unit begins counting from zero with precision down to 1/100th of a second. Thanks to our shift digit technology, the display intelligently transitions between hundredths, seconds, minutes, and hours as time progresses, allowing the timer to count up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. This is ideal for tracking total meeting duration, workshop sessions, or cumulative event time.

In down-timer mode, operators can preset a specific speaking duration—such as 10 minutes and 15 seconds—using the “Set Minutes” and “Set Seconds” buttons. Once started, the timer counts down clearly and accurately. If paused, users can either reset to zero or return to the last preset value with a dedicated button, making it easy to manage multiple speakers with identical time allocations.

The black powder-coated aluminum enclosure is fingerprint- and dust-resistant, maintaining a clean appearance in public settings. Adhesive bottom tabs protect surfaces from scratches and prevent damage when repositioning the unit on tables or podiums.

One of the most impactful features for council chambers is its double-sided design. Both sides display identical information simultaneously, ensuring visibility from multiple angles. Whether positioned at the front of the room, on a central table, or facing both the council and the audience, the display remains clear and synchronized on both sides.

Powering the unit is simple and efficient, requiring a standard 120V to 24–40V AC wall adapter (12V output), making installation straightforward within most municipal or community facility environments.
