This custom order for Sprangler Scale Sales and Services is designed to provide a simple, reliable way to display a static number or static time using a master–secondary display configuration. The system allows a single master unit to control what is shown on a secondary display, ensuring consistent, synchronized visibility across different viewing distances. This setup is ideal for environments where clear communication of production totals, countdowns, or scheduled end times is essential.

The system consists of a DC-10 Static-Key unit acting as the master display and a DC-44W System display serving as the secondary. Both units are powered independently using a 12-volt battery or 12-volt wall adapter. A wired connection links the master to the secondary, allowing whatever is shown on the DC-10 to be mirrored instantly on the larger DC-44W display. This means the operator only needs to interact with the master unit to control both displays.

To set a static number or time, the operator uses the wired static keypad connected to the master unit. By pressing the SET button, both the master and secondary displays enter programming mode, indicated by flashing digits. Once in this mode, the desired number can be entered using the keypad. For example, entering “1234” and pressing ENTER immediately displays that value in static format on both units. If a time-style format is needed, a colon can be added between the digits using the colon button, allowing the display to function as a static time indicator rather than just a numeric value.

This master–secondary configuration is especially useful for showing how many products need to be made, tracking a fixed production target, or displaying a specific time such as when a shift or task is scheduled to end. Because the secondary display mirrors the master exactly, larger teams can easily see the same information from a greater distance without additional setup or programming.

Each enclosure is constructed from tough 14-gauge aluminum and finished with a black powder-coated surface that is fingerprint and dust resistant. This ensures the displays maintain a clean, professional appearance even in demanding settings.

The DC-10 master unit measures 6 inches wide, 3 inches tall, and 2 inches deep, with 1-inch digits that are clearly viewable up to 25 feet. The DC-44W secondary display measures 16 inches wide, 7 inches tall, and 3 inches deep, featuring 4-inch digits that are viewable from up to 200 feet away. Both units use a four-digit display capable of showing values up to 9999.

Additional hardware and installation features include:

  • Four-digit LED displays with a maximum value of 9999
  • 120–240V to 12V wall adapters with 6-foot cords
  • Rear-mounted slotted knockouts for 2×4 or 4×4 conduit drops
  • Independent power for each unit for flexible installation

The system also includes a wired controller designed for DC digital counters, timers, and displays. The controller features a 24-key keypad layout and provides direct access to all essential functions, including numeric entry, SET, ENTER, and colon display control. This ensures straightforward operation without the need for complex programming or wireless pairing.
