The DC-106T-UP-TERM is a new standard model within our DC-10T-UP-Term product line, designed to provide expanded visibility and greater timing precision for uptime tracking applications. What differentiates this model from our other T-UP-Term units is its ability to display a full six digits, along with integrated shift digit technology that intelligently transitions how time is presented as the count increases.

This unit is capable of displaying minutes, seconds, and tens of hundredths of a second during shorter durations. As uptime continues and longer intervals are reached, the display automatically shifts to showcase hours, minutes, and seconds. This allows users to clearly monitor both short-cycle events and extended runtimes without manual intervention, making the DC-106T-UP-TERM ideal for production tracking, process monitoring, and equipment uptime applications.

Operation of the DC-106T-UP-TERM is managed through customer-supplied plug-and-play devices connected directly to the opto base board. The unit is powered using a 12V wall adapter, while uptime control is handled through the external devices provided by the customer. In this demonstration, momentary plug-and-play push button switches are connected through the terminal block on the opto base board, with each button assigned a specific function.

The available plug-and-play momentary switch functions include:

  • Start and stop control
  • Reset and start control
  • Reset to zero control

When the start button is pressed, the timer immediately begins counting upward, displaying tens of hundredths of a second, seconds, and minutes. Pressing the same button again pauses the count, and pressing it once more resumes timing. The reset and start function clears the current count and immediately begins a new timing cycle, allowing this process to be repeated indefinitely. While the timer is paused, the reset-to-zero button can be used to clear the display and prepare the unit for the next cycle.

From a hardware perspective, the DC-106T-UP-TERM is built for durability and long-term industrial use. The enclosure is constructed from tough 14-gauge aluminum and finished with a fingerprint-resistant black powder coat. The 1-inch display digits are clearly visible from distances of up to 25 feet, ensuring readability in a wide range of environments.

  • Six-digit display with shift digit technology
  • Displays minutes, seconds, tens of hundredths, and automatically shifts to hours, minutes, and seconds
  • Maximum count of 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds
  • 1-inch digit height with up to 25-foot viewing distance
  • 120–240 VAC wall adapter power input
  • Optional 24 VDC power input in place of the wall adapter
  • Rear-mounted teardrop knockout slots for easy wall mounting

For accessories and input flexibility, the included opto board supplies 5 to 30 VDC for momentary PNP power source inputs and also supports momentary dry contact closures across terminals one, two, and three. This provides compatibility with a wide range of external control devices, making the DC-106T-UP-TERM a versatile and reliable solution for uptime monitoring across multiple applications.
