The DC-40N-POE-NEMA Network Time of Day Clock is a reliable, network-synchronized time display designed for industrial and food production environments where accuracy and consistency are critical. This custom unit was built for Carl Buddig & Company, a home meals production company that relies on precise, facility-wide time visibility to support coordinated operations and workflow efficiency.

This model displays the correct time of day based on the selected time zone and synchronizes automatically through the local area network. Using a simple plug-and-play Power over Ethernet (PoE) connection, both power and data are delivered through a single Ethernet cable. Once connected, the unit initializes and quickly synchronizes to the network, ensuring accurate, atomic-level time without manual adjustment.

After startup, the DC-40N-POE-NEMA automatically retrieves network information and displays the correct time for the configured time zone. This ensures employees across multiple departments and production areas are viewing the same, synchronized time reference, reducing discrepancies and improving operational alignment.

The clock includes a custom-built, web-based browser interface that allows users to monitor and configure the system from any standard web browser. By accessing the unit using its MAC address, users can view system details and make adjustments without additional software or specialized tools.

  • Switching between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats

Time zone selection supports multiple regional and international options, making the unit ideal for facilities with standardized time requirements across locations.

Built for durability, the DC-40N-POE-NEMA features a rugged enclosure engineered to perform in demanding industrial environments. The NEMA / IP66-rated polycarbonate housing provides protection against water, dust, and washdown conditions, while maintaining high visibility for long-distance viewing.

Power is supplied via a 48-volt PoE connection, with power and data split internally within the enclosure. The unit supports DHCP or static IP configurations and can synchronize to virtually any NTP server, ensuring seamless integration into existing network infrastructures.

Mounting is straightforward using four through-holes located at each corner on the back of the enclosure, allowing for secure wall or surface installation. The integrated web-based interface further enhances usability by providing time verification, built-in location identification, and clear pass/fail synchronization status, giving users confidence that the clock remains accurate and properly connected at all times.
