The relay switch box is directly connected to the ventilation fan. When the fan powers on, the up-timer automatically begins counting, displaying the total runtime. When the fan powers off—whether due to being switched off or from a power outage—the timer pauses, and the end-of-period alarm begins flashing at the bottom of the display. This immediate visual signal helps workers quickly recognize downtime, reducing risks and keeping operations running smoothly.

Thanks to its Shift Digit Technology, the display automatically transitions from seconds to minutes, and eventually to hours, supporting timing up to 99 hours and 59 minutes.

Powering the unit is simple with two grounded three-prong connectors—one for the up-timer and another for the relay switch. Inside the relay box, a terminal block provides secure wiring for direct connection to the fan. For added reliability, the system is equipped with EEPROM memory retention, meaning programmed settings and alarm flash durations are stored even after power loss.
