Introducing our DC-40T-DN-BCD Custom Countdown Timer, a versatile solution designed for environments that require continuous countdown functions with flexibility across multiple input devices. This timer has been engineered with practicality in mind, offering both a straightforward setup and durable construction, all of which are vital for any fire department facilities.

The unit is built to provide precise countdown functionality through any multi-input or plug-and-play device the user desires to integrate. At the core of this system is an opto base board that allows seamless connection of input controls, such as palm switches, push buttons, or other compatible devices. In our demonstration, a 15 mm palm switch was connected to Terminal 1 of the opto board. Holding down the switch initiates the countdown, and when released, the timer resets to the preset value.

At the top of the enclosure, BCD rotary switches allow users to set their desired countdown time in minutes and seconds. Adjusting these settings is simple—requiring only a flathead screwdriver. For example, users can quickly configure the timer to count down from 10 minutes and 35 seconds, or any other value up to the maximum capacity. Once the countdown reaches zero, an End of Period (EOP) flash feature makes the digits flash, providing a clear visual signal.
