This wireless model is a continuation of the technology behind the High Point University campus-wide clock system. That system is centered around a master clock located in the rotunda tower of a main building, which sends out timing signals to secondary clocks installed on buses, at stops, and across the campus.

Each secondary clock not only receives time signals from the master, but also re-broadcasts the signal within its own range, forming a relay-style system that extends accurate timekeeping across broad or complex areas.
