Purpose and Application

The primary function of this unit is to showcase maximum tolerance levels for metals during the production process. By using a wired remote keypad controller, operators can easily set and display measurements for three critical parameters:

  • Plus (+): Maximum allowed measurement
  • Equal (=): Exact desired measurement
  • Negative (-): Minimum allowed measurement

How It Works

Once the unit is powered, the user simply selects which section they want to program—plus, equal, or negative—using the keypad. The digits for that section will flash, signaling that the system is ready for input.

Example setup:

  • Plus (+): If the maximum tolerance is 10 inches, press the plus key, enter “10,” and confirm with the enter key.
  • Equal (=): To display an exact cut of 5 inches, press the equals key, enter “05,” and hit enter.
  • Negative (-): If the cut cannot go under 3 inches, press the negative key, input “03,” and confirm.

The system allows for precise input and ensures that workers always have a clear, visible reference for quality control.
