That’s why PCVA Attorneys at Law, a Washington-based law firm, turned to DC-Digital for a reliable and courtroom-specific timing solution. For a high-profile case requiring up to 40 hours of argument time per side, they needed a system that was secure, easy to use, and impossible to reset accidentally.

The solution? A customized version of our DC-256T-UP-TERM, a six-digit courtroom count-up timer system built for clarity, synchronization, and long-duration use.

This setup features a master and secondary display, both connected by a wired system (wireless also available), and capable of reaching up to 1,000 feet with basic two-wire connectivity. Housed in extruded aluminum enclosures with 2.3-inch high LEDs, both displays clearly track elapsed time up to 99 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds.

Key Features:

  • Dual Operation for Judge and Attorneys:
    The judge has full control with two trigger switches—one for each side (plaintiff and defendant).
    Attorneys also receive control switches for starting and pausing their timers independently.
  • Color-Coded Trigger Switches:
    Distinct black and white switches visually differentiate control for each side.
    The integrated lighted switch stays on while the timer is running, clearly indicating active timing.
  • Reset Protection:
    To avoid accidental resets, the system requires a 10-second hold on the button to reset both displays to zero.
  • Power & Backup:
    Each unit plugs into a standard 120V outlet using a 6-foot power cord.
    For added reliability, a battery backup is included to prevent timing disruption in the event of a power outage.
  • Flexible Installation:
    Mounting tabs allow for secure placement on a wall, desk, or bench.
    All wiring is protected with terminal blocks and grommets, ensuring secure, tamper-resistant connections.
