Countdown Timer

DC-Digital created the multi-level (between first and second floor) food processing timing system for food processing plant. At the onset of beginning of the process the top floor (Second floor) presses the start button all the while, on both displays, the preset timing begins and the ANDON light illuminates yellow and then they proceed to pour the mixes into a hopper which travels down to the lower floor (first floor) and to which it lands into another hopper for the workers to dispense for processing. Once the lower floor (first floor) is completed with dispensing the food as needed for their process the timing will reach zero, to which the ANDON turns green. The upper floor will wait for the first floors acknowledgement which is pressing a reset palm switch (which turns the ANDONs red and resets the timers to zero). This gives the upper floor and lower floor indication that they are ready for the next pour.

The DC-25T-DN-ANDON-NEMA-System is a dual-control, synchronized countdown timer system designed specifically for food production facilities. This innovative system brings structure, efficiency, and visual clarity to batch processing tasks, ensuring that every mix cycle is executed with accuracy and consistency. Built to meet the high standards of food safety and operational durability, this system is essential for any operation handling dry mix batching in a fast-paced factory environment.

System Design

The DC-25T-DN-ANDON-NEMA-System consists of two Countdown timers and multicolored ANDONs housed in a polycarbonate, IP-66 rated NEMA 4X enclosures:

* Master Unit: Equipped with the WRC-6T-WIRED-NEMA controller, this unit allows workers to set and manage countdown timing.

* Secondary (Slave) Unit: Mirrors the countdown from the master unit and provides reset access via a heavy-duty palm switch.

Both units are connected by a 24-foot cable and powered using a 24 VDC line, 25 feet in length.

WRC-6T-WIRED-NEMA controller:

* Start or stop switch

* Reset to zero

* Reset to Last Value

* Set Hours

* Set Minutes

* Set Seconds

4. Time Set: Press hours, minutes or seconds set button. Press again to stop the set

5. Starting the Countdown the green button is pressed to begin the countdown. Both the master and slave units display the count down time and illuminate the yellow ANDON LED simultaneously, allowing workers in different areas to monitor the process in real-time.

6. Timing completion: When the countdown reaches zero, the ANDON lights turn green on both enclosures. This serves as a clear signal that the batch is complete and the next cycle can begin. Built for Industrial Environments

7. Process completion: When the lower floor has finished their process they will press the SW-1-HD-60-RED reset palm switch, this resets the system and illuminates the RED ANDON light

* IP-66 Rated Enclosures: Resistant to water, dust, and chemical exposure—ideal for food-grade environments.

* High-Visibility ANDON Lights: Red (Setup), Yellow (Time Set), Green (Cycle Complete).

* Rugged Controls: Includes the SW-1-HD-60-RED momentary palm switch and the WRC-6T-WIRED-NEMA controller.

* Durable Wiring: 24-foot controller cables and 12-foot power cables ensure flexibility in unit placement. Key Features

* Model: DC-25T-DN-ANDON-NEMA-System

* Dual-unit countdown system with master/slave synchronization

* WR-6T-NEMA controller with 6 push-button functions

* Heavy-duty stainless steel palm switch

* Multicolored ANDON light indicators

* Water- and dust-proof NEMA 4X enclosures

* Long-range connectivity for large workspaces

* Designed specifically for food production facilities

For food manufacturers who value timing precision, durability, and worker communication, the DC-25T-DN-ANDON-NEMA-System is the new industry standard in batch processing.
