Built for outdoor use, the DC-150-GPS features large 15-inch high LED digits housed in a rugged, extruded aluminum enclosure. The enclosure is fully weatherproof with an IP-66 rating, making it suitable for installation in exposed locations such as building exteriors, industrial facilities, yards, and campuses. The aluminum construction offers long-term corrosion resistance while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.

Installation is straightforward and efficient. The unit includes two aluminum mounting bars that are easy to drill and secure to a wall or structure. With no rear connections, the clock can be removed from the box and mounted directly in place. Power is supplied by 120Vac and connects via pigtails inside a weatherproof junction box. This custom configuration includes outdoor-rated junction boxes on each side of the enclosure: one dedicated to incoming power and the other housing the control electronics.

The control-side junction box contains the circuit board that manages GPS synchronization and time settings. While the board is capable of time and temperature functionality, this configuration is strictly used as a GPS Time of Day clock. All controls are clearly accessible on the mounted plate within the junction box, allowing for simple configuration during installation or maintenance.

The GPS module connects using a right-angle male 3.5 mm connector and plugs into a weatherproof port on the side of the enclosure. The module includes a peel-and-stick backing for quick mounting to a suitable surface and must be placed where it has a clear view of the sky to receive the satellite signal. Optional 35-foot GPS extension cables are available to accommodate installations requiring additional placement flexibility.

Once installed, operation is simple: mount the clock, apply power, verify the time zone and daylight savings settings, and ensure the GPS module has a clear signal path.
