We have developed a new custom order designed to meet a specific industrial timing need: the DC-256T-UP-DAYS. This model brings together long-term tracking functionality and integration flexibility in one highly visible and efficient solution.

The DC-256T-UP-DAYS is a six-digit, up-counting days timer. Built with 2.3-inch high LEDs, it’s engineered for maximum readability from a distance. This unit counts upward in days, incrementing precisely once every 24 hours from the moment it is first set. The precision and clarity of this timer make it perfect for tracking duration in days—whether it’s monitoring time since the last incident, days since equipment service, or days into a production run.

The customer requested this version without an enclosure, opting instead to integrate the unit into their own system. To make this easier, we included eight mounting slots—four on top and four on the bottom—providing stability and customization options for various enclosure designs.

A 9-volt enclosed battery backup was also added per the customer’s specification. This ensures time tracking continuity during power outages. They also wanted manual control via a wire whip, enabling them to start, stop, and set the day counter with physical push buttons.

The programming process is intuitive:

• Use the set button to begin configuration.
• The digits will increase in speed across three progressive steps—standard, faster, and finally a rapid “hyper” step.
• Once close to the desired number, press the set button again to fine-tune using increment or decrement options, or simply press reset to start over.

Powering the unit is straightforward. It uses a solid-state 12V wall transformer, which replaces the older mechanical-style transformers. It plugs directly into a standard 110V wall outlet and requires no additional connections—making installation simple and clean.

This custom DC-256T-UP-DAYS timer is a reliable, versatile solution for long-term tracking without needing daily oversight. Designed with user-specific customization in mind, it’s ideal for integration into manufacturing environments, safety tracking stations, or service interval monitors.
