Visual inspection combined with a visual display. For proper consistent inspection of each produced part the DC-10T-DN-BCD is just the timer for the job. It can be set for any value minutes and seconds, reset and repeated millions of times. Toyota also needed notification through a PLC when the period had been completed. The timer was fitted for a 2 second end of period sourced output to a PLC to complete the cycle.

Consistent visual inspection is an important part of maintaining quality during manufacturing. For the Toyota Alabama plant, a DC-Digital DC-10T-DN-BCD 1-inch LED countdown timer was ordered to help provide a clear, repeatable timing process for inspecting produced parts.

The DC-10T-DN-BCD allows operators to set a specific inspection period in minutes and seconds using rotary manual set switches mounted on the top of the enclosure. This Set n Forget configuration makes it possible to establish the required inspection time and repeatedly reset and run the timer through production cycles.

The timer counts down from up to 99 minutes and 59 seconds and provides a highly visible 1-inch red LED display that can be viewed from approximately 25 feet. External controls can be connected for Start/Pause, Reset to Set Value, or Reset and Start functions. The timer also accepts either momentary contact closure or 5–30 VDC/PNP source pulse inputs.

For the Toyota application, the countdown timer was also configured with an end-of-period output to communicate with a programmable logic controller (PLC). When the inspection period reached 00:00, a two-second output signal provided the PLC with notification that the timed cycle had been completed.

The DC-10T-DN-BCD features a durable 14-gauge aluminum enclosure with a fingerprint-resistant black powder-coated finish. Its compact 6-3/4-inch wide by 3-3/4-inch tall by 2-inch deep design makes it well suited for manufacturing workstations where a dedicated inspection timer needs to remain visible without taking up significant space.

With repeatable countdown operation, external control inputs, and PLC integration, the DC-10T-DN-BCD provides manufacturers with a practical timing solution for parts inspection, production processes, and other applications requiring consistent cycle timing.
