When a countdown reaches zero, it is often important that operators, technicians, or production personnel immediately recognize that the allotted time has expired. The DC-25T-DN-BCD Timer from DC-Digital provides a simple and reliable visual timing solution, and for applications requiring additional awareness, optional end-of-period indicators can be added to make sure no event goes unnoticed.

Designed with “Set n Forget” technology, the DC-25T-DN-BCD counts down from 99 minutes and 59 seconds using convenient rotary BCD set switches located on the top of the enclosure. Once the desired time has been selected, the timer can easily be activated through external control terminals. Inputs support either momentary contact closures or 5-30 VDC/PNP source pulses, making integration with push buttons, PLCs, sensors, and automation equipment straightforward.

The timer includes dedicated control terminals for:

• Start/Pause
• Reset to the preset value
• Reset to the preset value and automatically start

Upon reaching 00:00, the standard display flashes to indicate the end of the timing cycle. For applications that require a stronger notification, DC-Digital offers several optional end-of-period outputs. A 12 or 24 VDC ANDON light can be installed to provide highly visible status indication from greater distances. Audible awareness can also be enhanced with an optional high-intensity buzzer or tone output. Additional relay outputs and count-up overage timing are available for customers requiring process automation or machine interfacing.

Built for demanding environments, the DC-25T-DN-BCD features a rugged IP-60 rated enclosure manufactured from heavy-duty 14-gauge aluminum and finished with a textured fingerprint-resistant black powder coating. Hidden mounting points and slotted tear-drop knockouts allow installation onto standard 2 × 4 or 4 × 4 electrical rough-in boxes while maintaining a clean appearance.

The standard model utilizes four super bright 2.3-inch red LED digits that provide excellent visibility from up to 120 feet away. Larger digit heights ranging from 1 inch to 30 inches are available to accommodate virtually any viewing distance requirement. Optional time formats including hours and minutes or seconds and tenths are also available.

Powering options are equally flexible. The timer includes a universal 120-240 VAC wall adapter with a six-foot cord, but customers may also supply 24 VDC power through the terminal block connection. Optional Power over Ethernet (POE) capability is available for installations where network infrastructure is preferred.
