Munster Little League in Munster, Indiana, ordered four DC-Digital DC-60UTW multi-function timers to help keep baseball games running on schedule. The league needed a cost-effective outdoor display that could provide reliable countdown timing while also offering count-up and time-of-day functions.

The DC-60UTW combines multiple timing functions in a single weather-resistant display. It can count up from hundredths of a second to 99 hours, count down from as much as 99 hours to hundredths of a second, and display the current time of day in a 12-hour format. This flexibility allows Munster Little League to use the displays for game timing as well as other activities around the fields.

With six-inch red LED digits and a viewing distance of up to 300 feet, the DC-60UTW can be easily seen from across the playing field, dugouts, and spectator seating areas. Its IP-66 aluminum enclosure is designed for outdoor wet-location use, making it well suited for sports facilities where displays may be exposed to rain and changing weather conditions.

The included RF wireless remote provides convenient control from a distance of more than 1,500 feet outdoors. Operators can control the timer’s count direction, start and stop operation, reset functions, and time settings without needing to access the display directly.

Beyond keeping baseball games on schedule, Munster Little League can use the DC-60UTW timers for reaction drills, timed running drills, and other training activities. The displays can measure precise intervals using hundredths of a second, providing a highly visible timing solution for players and coaches.

When the timers are not being used for game or training activities, they can be switched to display the current time of day. This gives the four displays continued usefulness throughout the day while providing a consistent time reference for players, coaches, and spectators.

The DC-60UTW‘s combination of wireless operation, outdoor durability, multiple timing modes, and large six-inch LED digits makes it a versatile solution for Little League and other athletic facilities needing a dependable outdoor timer and clock.
