The DC-40N-C-W Object Distribution Counter with Online Functions and a Wireless Remote is a flexible digital counting solution designed to track object totals both locally and remotely. This custom order was produced for AB Distributing in Illinois and demonstrates how a standard counter can be enhanced with additional control features to support real-world distribution and inventory tracking needs.

This model allows objects to be counted using two different control methods: a web-based online interface and a handheld RF wireless remote. The combination of these two systems provides operators with the ability to manage the counter directly from the device or from a network-connected computer or mobile device.

Through the online interface, users can control and monitor the counter from any standard web browser. The system updates the physical display immediately when commands are sent, while the webpage can be refreshed to confirm the most current value. This makes the unit ideal for facilities where counts need to be adjusted or monitored from multiple locations.

Using the online control page, operators can:

  • Increment the counter value
  • Decrement the counter value
  • Reset the display to zero
  • Manually set the counter to a specific number
  • Monitor the current value remotely

In addition to the web interface, the included RF wireless handheld remote allows operators to control the counter without accessing the network page. The remote can increment, decrement, or manually set the value on the display. When setting values manually, the counter initially moves slowly and then accelerates to reach the desired number more quickly.

The counter operates within a range of 0 to 9,999 using a four-digit display. If the value exceeds 9,999 and receives another increment command, the system automatically rolls over and resets back to zero.

The DC-40N-C-W is built with durable industrial-grade hardware designed for long-term use. The enclosure is constructed from 14-gauge aluminum, providing a lightweight yet strong housing that is resistant to dust and fingerprints. The display features 4-inch digits that are visible from distances up to 200 feet, making the counter easy to read across large spaces.

Key hardware features include:

  • Four-digit LED display (0–9,999 range)
  • Large 4-inch digits for long-distance visibility
  • Viewing distance up to 200 feet
  • 14-gauge aluminum enclosure
  • Dust- and fingerprint-resistant finish

The included RF wireless remote operates at distances up to 1,500 feet outdoors and approximately 300 feet indoors, depending on building conditions. This provides reliable control across warehouses, distribution areas, or large facilities.

The system also includes an IoT expansion card that enables the network control page. One of the biggest advantages of this feature is its simplicity—no third-party software or downloads are required. Users simply enter the unit’s IP address into a standard browser, such as Google Chrome, to access the control interface.

Key system highlights:

  • Web-based counter control through a browser
  • No software installation required
  • Wireless RF remote control included
  • Real-time display updates
  • Local and remote operation capability

The DC-40N-C-W Object Distribution Counter provides a reliable and versatile solution for distribution centers, warehouses, and operational environments where object totals must be tracked, displayed, and controlled efficiently.
