Gymnasium, Standalone, Non-system, Time of Day Digital Clock Clock w/ Wireless Remote Controller
This custom order features our DC-406S-W RF Wireless Remote Controlled Time of Day Clock, built specifically for DePaul University Athletics through a shopping cart order. The goal of this installation is simple and effective: provide a reliable, highly visible display of the current time of day without requiring a network connection. Because this clock does not rely on Ethernet, POE, or an RJ-45 connection, it is an ideal solution for facilities that want accurate timekeeping without tying into an existing network infrastructure.
The DC-406S-W is a standalone time of day clock that can be used across a wide range of environments including athletic facilities, factories, schools, hospitals, churches, and other public or commercial spaces. The clock displays the current time of day in either 12-hour or 24-hour format, and all time adjustments are made using our RF wireless remote controller, eliminating the need for direct physical access to the unit once it is mounted.
Setting the time of day is quick and intuitive. Using the wireless remote controller, the hours and minutes can be adjusted independently. When setting the hours, pressing the “Set Hours” button causes the hour digits to increment upward once per second until the desired hour is reached. Pressing the button again locks in the selected hour. Once the hours are set, the minutes can be adjusted in the same way using the “Set Minutes” button. Each time the hours or minutes are set, the seconds reset to zero and begin incrementing upward, allowing the clock to continue keeping accurate time as minutes roll over after sixty seconds.
Switching between 12-hour and 24-hour display modes is also handled through the wireless remote. By pressing the “Set Hours” button and then pressing the “Set Minutes” button while the hours are incrementing, the clock transitions into 24-hour mode. In this format, the hour display counts upward from 01 through 24 and then resets back to 01 after passing 24. This makes it easy to configure the display style based on facility preference or operational standards.
From a hardware standpoint, the DC-406S-W is designed for durability, visibility, and long-term reliability.
Hardware and Display Features
