This is a custom DC-40N-T-DN-UP Static Boardroom Meeting Network Clock built specifically for Morongo Unified School District. This unit is designed to serve as a centralized time and meeting management display, giving staff a reliable way to show the current time of day during group meetings while also utilizing count up timers, count down timers, and static number displays. By combining multiple display modes into a single network-controlled device, this clock helps streamline meeting flow, presentations, and time-sensitive discussions.
The DC-40N-T-DN-UP is powered and controlled through a single RJ45 Ethernet connection. This Power over Ethernet setup supplies both power and data to the unit, eliminating the need for additional power outlets and simplifying installation. Once connected to the network, users access the built-in web-based interface through a standard internet browser and enter command strings to define how the unit operates. Depending on the commands entered, the display can be configured to show the current time, a static number, or operate as either a count up or count down timer.
To display the current time of day, the unit uses a simple command structure that allows the user to choose between a 12-hour or 24-hour format. For example, entering the current time with the appropriate command will display 8:30 a.m. in a 12-hour format, while an alternate command allows the same time to be displayed in p.m. or converted into a 24-hour format such as 14:00. These commands are entered in all capital letters and broadcast to the unit using the designated channels, ensuring consistent and accurate display updates.
The up-timer function allows meetings or presentations to track elapsed time. By entering the appropriate command, the user can start the timer at a specific value, such as five minutes, and have it count upward. A visual indicator on the display confirms that the unit is operating in up-timer mode. The timer can be paused at any point using a pause command, then resumed from the exact time it was stopped, giving users full control during meetings or timed sessions.
The down-timer function operates in a similar way but counts downward from a preset time. What makes this particular model unique compared to standard PoE network clocks is the inclusion of a built-in piezo alarm. When configured through the command string, the alarm activates automatically once the countdown reaches zero. This feature is ideal for time-managed meetings, presentations, or group activities where a clear audible alert is required. The piezo alarm can also be enabled or disabled using a physical switch located on the side of the enclosure, giving users additional control without needing to access the web interface.
In addition to time and timer functions, the DC-40N-T-DN-UP supports static number displays. This allows the unit to show fixed numerical values such as room numbers, agenda items, countdown placeholders, or other reference information. Users can display plain numbers, add colons for time-style formatting, or include decimal points depending on the command entered. This flexibility makes the unit suitable for a wide range of boardroom and educational applications.

From a hardware perspective, the DC-40N-T-DN-UP is built for durability and long-term use in professional environments.
