The City of Arizona has requested a universal method of directing trucks to designated bay locations in waste management. Designed to streamline bay direction for waste management operations, our custom DC-152-Static-Key-W provides a simple, highly visible solution for directing garbage trucks to the correct disposal bay within a factory environment. This custom configuration was built specifically for bay direction in a waste management setting, where clarity, durability, and ease of operation are essential for maintaining efficient traffic flow throughout the workday.

The goal of this system is straightforward: eliminate confusion and keep trucks moving to the correct location without verbal communication or manual signaling. With a single button press on the programmable keypad, the operator assigns a bay number to the incoming truck. The selected number appears clearly on the large two-digit display for eight seconds. Once the time expires, the display automatically turns blank. At that point, the truck proceeds to the designated bay, and the system resets, ready for the next vehicle. This cycle repeats continuously throughout the day, creating an organized and repeatable process for directing traffic.

Functionally, the system is intentionally simple. There is no complicated programming required during daily use. The operator presses a button between 1 and 12 on the custom keypad, and the display shows that corresponding number. For example, pressing the “4” button displays “4” for eight seconds, then clears automatically. The keypad is programmed so that each number is assigned to a single dedicated button. This means numbers such as 11 are selected directly via their assigned button rather than by entering “1” twice. This customization is made possible through our programmable DCN24 keypad, which is configured to meet the client’s exact operational requirements.

The enclosure is fully sealed and designed for demanding waste management environments where moisture, dust, and debris are common. The 15-inch digits ensure that truck drivers can clearly see their assigned bay from long distances, minimizing hesitation and improving yard efficiency.

Power is supplied through an SJEOW NEMA 5-15 cord located at the bottom right of the enclosure for straightforward installation. The unit mounts securely using integrated C-Channel mounting rails on the rear of the enclosure, making wall or structural mounting simple and reliable.

As part of the complete system, we supply our programmable DC-GEN-24 keypad with 1–12 dedicated inputs. The keypad itself is powered by a single cigarette-lighter-style power supply, and the two SID keypads are included with the unit to ensure seamless operation right out of the box.

Overall, this custom DC-152-Static-Key-W solution offers a highly visible, repeatable, and easy-to-operate method for directing garbage trucks to the proper disposal bays.
