Unlike our standard foot-switch-controlled up-timers, this model does not operate on a three-press activation sequence. Instead, it uses a press-and-release logic that is optimized for real-world broadcast workflows. Timing begins immediately upon releasing the foot switch, allowing directors to start the timer at the exact moment filming begins without additional steps or delays. The timer counts upward in one-second increments with hundredths-of-a-second precision, making it ideal for monitoring short segments, transitions, and live takes.

As the elapsed time increases, the display dynamically adjusts using our shift digit technology. Once the timer reaches one full minute, the hundredths digit automatically disappears, allowing the display to focus on standard seconds for improved readability at a distance. This ensures the most relevant information is always clearly visible without distraction.

Control of the timer is intentionally straightforward. Pressing and holding the foot switch pauses the count, giving directors immediate control if a take is interrupted or needs to be reviewed. Releasing the foot switch after a pause resets the display back to zero, making the unit instantly ready for the next segment.
