The people of Fast Signs of Syracuse have requested a Clock that would display the Time of Day without the need for an ethernet connection for their outdoor storage facilities. Our DC-150-TT-GPS Master–Secondary White LED Temperature Clock is our new standard configuration designed to provide highly accurate time-of-day information via GPS while simultaneously displaying the current outdoor temperature. This model is ideal for applications where precise, automatically synchronized time and environmental visibility are essential, such as industrial facilities, transportation hubs, campuses, and outdoor installations.
The DC-150-TT-GPS operates using a master and secondary configuration. The master unit receives time data directly from a GPS connection and controls all displayed information. Whatever is shown on the master display is mirrored exactly on the secondary unit, ensuring consistent and synchronized time and temperature readouts across multiple viewing locations. As demonstrated, the display cycles smoothly between the time of day and the outdoor temperature, which is shown in Fahrenheit by default.
Time synchronization is handled entirely through GPS, eliminating the need for manual clock setting. The unit supports all four U.S. continental time zones and allows the user to select the desired zone using DIP switches located inside the junction box on the rear of the master enclosure. When a DIP switch setting is changed, the GPS system immediately recalibrates and updates the displayed time accordingly.
The DIP switch system provides flexible configuration options, allowing users to customize the display behavior based on their needs. From the rear junction box, users can easily set the clock to display time in either a 12-hour or 24-hour format, enable or disable daylight saving time, select the appropriate U.S. time zone, and choose whether the temperature is displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Clear instructions are provided inside the enclosure, indicating which switches should be turned on or off to achieve each setting.
In addition to time and temperature display, the GPS module includes LED status indicators that provide real-time feedback on system operation. A green LED confirms that the unit is powered on, while a red LED communicates GPS and antenna status through a blink pattern. One blink per second indicates proper satellite reception, two blinks indicate no satellite reception, and three blinks indicate that the antenna is not connected.
The temperature display is driven by an outdoor DC temperature sensor, which includes protective housing and 25 feet of cabling. The system supports a wide temperature range, making it suitable for demanding outdoor environments. Switching between Fahrenheit and Celsius is easily accomplished using the DIP switch settings, with the display automatically updating after the change is made.
From a hardware standpoint, both the master and secondary units are built for durability and visibility. Each enclosure is constructed from aluminum and rated IP66 for outdoor wet locations. The housings are finished with a tough, fingerprint-resistant black powder coating, ensuring long-term performance in harsh conditions. The 15-inch white LED display offers excellent visibility at distances of up to 750 feet, making it easy to read in large open areas and outdoor settings.
Key product highlights include:
- GPS-synchronized time display with automatic updates
