The TTI electronics’ company has reached out to DC-Digital for one of their custom Down-Timers for their production factories. Our new DC-40T-DN-BCD-NEMA-EOP is a custom-built solution designed to help production teams maintain efficiency by accurately tracking downtime across two separate locations. By mirroring countdown functions between a master and secondary enclosure, this system ensures clear visibility and precise control of production scheduling, minimizing interruptions and improving workflow continuity.

Purpose and Application

The primary goal of this system is to keep production lines running smoothly by:

• Displaying downtime from two different locations simultaneously.
• Allowing operators to start, stop, and reset countdowns quickly and efficiently.
• Providing a reliable visual and audible alert when a countdown period ends.

How It Works

• Dual Enclosures: The system consists of a master and secondary NEMA enclosure. Any action performed on the master unit is mirrored on the secondary display, ensuring synchronization between both locations.
• BCD Rotary Switches: Located inside the master enclosure, these switches allow operators to set the desired countdown time in hours and minutes (up to 99 hours and 59 minutes).
• Controller: The system uses an SW-RMSS-3-GRN-RED-BLK control box equipped with three push buttons:
  • Green – Starts/stops the countdown.
  • Red – Resets and starts the countdown.
  • Black – Resets the countdown to the preset time.
• Alarm Function: When the countdown reaches zero:
  • A DC-EOPB-7595 piezo alarm sounds for three seconds.
  • The digits begin flashing to visually indicate the end of the period.

• NEMA 4X IP66-Rated Polycarbonate Enclosures – Ensuring waterproof durability for demanding environments.
• Four-Digit LED Displays – Each digit measures 4 inches and is visible up to 200 feet away.
• Independent Power Supply – Each unit uses a grounded 120–240 VAC three-prong connector.
• Mounting – Four wall-mount through-holes at the corners of each enclosure for secure installation.
• Integrated Buzzer – The DC-EOPB-7595 piezo alarm is adjustable via a built-in bezel.
