The DC-10T-DN Hand Washing Timer is a fully portable, battery-operated countdown timer engineered to support proper handwashing and surgical scrub protocols in demanding hygiene environments. Designed for reliability and ease of use, this unit activates with a simple wave of the hand, ensuring hands-free operation that helps reduce cross-contamination. The integrated diffused reflective area sensor detects motion up to 10 inches away, instantly starting the preset countdown without requiring physical contact.

Once activated, the timer begins counting down using bright, one-inch red LED digits that are clearly visible from up to 25 feet away. During operation, the sensor is intelligently controlled to prevent retriggering. If a hand passes in front of the sensor while the countdown is in progress, the timer will not restart. This allows the unit to be mounted close to sinks without concern for accidental resets during normal washing motion. At the end of the countdown period, a three-second audible alert signals completion. Following the audible alert, the sensor enters a brief five-second lockout period, allowing users to remove their hands from the sink area without unintentionally restarting the timer.

Time settings are fully adjustable through internal dip switches. The unit can be configured in 15-second increments ranging from 15 seconds up to 7 minutes and 45 seconds. An additional dip switch provides a five-second add-on feature, allowing precise time customization to meet specific hygiene requirements. This flexibility makes the DC-10T-DN adaptable for standard handwashing cycles as well as longer surgical scrub procedures.

Housed in a rugged polycarbonate enclosure rated IP-66 and NEMA 4X, 6, 6P, 12, 12K, and 13, the DC-10T-DN is built to withstand wet and washdown environments. Its sealed design protects internal components from water exposure, making it ideal for installation near sinks, scrub stations, food preparation areas, and medical facilities.

Power is supplied by a 12-volt lithium rechargeable battery designed for long service life. After a full 24-hour charge, the battery can operate for approximately three months under normal usage conditions. Heavy-use cycle testing has demonstrated exceptional durability, with over 20,000 cycles completed without requiring recharge.

The DC-10T-DN offers flexible installation options to suit a wide range of facilities. It can be wall-mounted for permanent placement or used as a portable unit that can be relocated as needed.
