Baxter Healthcare has continued to expand its facility-wide timekeeping system with DC-Digital synchronized secondary clocks. The relationship began in 2009 when Baxter Healthcare purchased a wired synchronized master clock system featuring EZ-Time with a CM-1. Over the years, additional clocks have been added to different areas of the facility as timekeeping needs have grown.
The latest addition is the DC-40-4W-System, a four-digit secondary system clock designed to synchronize precisely with a connected Network Master Clock. The system uses two data wires to receive 9600 baud 8N1 ASCII time data, allowing the clock to maintain accurate time throughout the facility.
The DC-40-4W features four-inch super-bright red LED digits with a viewing distance of up to 200 feet, making it well suited for large rooms, production areas, hallways, and other locations where time needs to be clearly visible. Its durable 14-gauge aluminum enclosure is finished with a fingerprint-resistant black powder coating, with NEMA 4X and IP66 enclosure options available for more demanding environments.
One of the advantages of the DC-Digital secondary clock system is its ability to grow with a facility. Additional secondary clocks can be added to an existing synchronized system as new areas require accurate, consistent time displays. This allows organizations such as Baxter Healthcare to expand their timekeeping infrastructure without replacing the existing system.
Baxter Healthcare’s continued use of DC-Digital synchronized clocks demonstrates how a master-secondary clock system can provide a scalable solution for maintaining consistent time throughout a growing facility.
