For flashing operation, the flashing common wire is used instead. In a typical demonstration, the grey wire serves as the flashing common, allowing the selected color to flash when contact closure is applied. This gives users an easy way to configure the signal output based on the desired alert condition.

The light includes white, red, blue, yellow, and green LEDs, giving operators the flexibility to assign colors based on machine state, call priority, process condition, or workflow step. The illumination is visible in a full 360-degree pattern, helping ensure the signal can be seen from multiple directions on the plant floor. This is especially useful in larger spaces or in environments where workers may approach equipment from different angles.
