Fire Station Turn Out Goal Timer is Network Driven
The Honolulu Fire Department wanted a computer controlled Turn Out Timer display with an end of period buzzer and Andon light for additional visual and audible output. This will allow the fire fighters to see how much time has elapsed since receiving the dispatch call for help. Every second counts and saves lives and this is re-enforced by this timer. The goal is to keep the dispatch times low and to continue to improve the current best time. Once the timer has reached the pre-determined time the end of period buzzer will sound for 3 seconds but during the night hours the end of period can be automatically turned off so other non-dispatched staff is not disturbed. The unit will also continue to count past the pre-determined best turn out time and the Andon light will illuminate and continue to do so until the entire system is reset. The goal is to allow the firefighters at a glance to see if they are beyond the preset time. The DC-40N-T-UP-ANDON-BUZZ is also weather coated for protection of the electronics for years of trouble free use in a damp location. The DC-40N-T-UP-ANDON-BUZZ is also built for a simple installation using the network to power the unit using the POE design. This has saved the department money by keeping the installation cost low. You only need a low voltage cable to operate both the data and power. The Honolulu Fire Department has programmed the unit in house and has complete control of the functionality of the entire display. The DC-40N-T-UP-ANDON-BUZZ is able to be simply programmed via web browser on their existing network or data can be sent UDP or TCP directly to the timers IP. This unit is proudly made and programmed in the in USA.
