The New York State Board of Law Examiners selected a DC-Digital wireless synchronized clock system to help maintain consistent exam timing across multiple testing locations. With examinees completing an important standardized examination, having every room display the same accurate time helps ensure that test takers receive the same amount of time to complete the exam.
The New York State Board of Law Examiners ordered several DC-40-W-System master clocks along with multiple DC-40-W-System secondary clocks for use at different examination locations. Larger examination rooms were equipped with DC-80-W-System secondary clocks to provide increased visibility across the room.
The wireless clock system uses a master clock to synchronize the secondary displays through a 900 MHz RF wireless connection. The secondary clocks feature store-and-forward technology, allowing the synchronized time signal to be retransmitted from one wireless clock to another and providing an effectively unlimited range for larger installations.
The DC-40-W-System features 4-inch LED digits with a viewing distance of up to 200 feet, making it well suited for standard-sized examination rooms. The clocks use a durable aluminum enclosure, wide viewing angle, and wireless synchronization to provide a clear and consistent time display throughout the testing environment.
For larger rooms, the DC-80-W-System provides 8-inch LED digits with a viewing distance of up to 400 feet. Its outdoor-rated IP-66 aluminum enclosure and high-visibility LED display provide a larger time-of-day display for environments requiring greater viewing distance.
Tripod mounting was also requested for each clock, providing the flexibility to position the displays where they could be easily seen by examination participants. Both the DC-40-W-System and DC-80-W-System offer optional tripod mounting.
By combining wireless synchronization, large LED displays, and flexible mounting options, the DC-Digital system provides the New York State Board of Law Examiners with a practical way to keep examination rooms synchronized and help ensure consistent time management across multiple testing locations.
