One Display with Multiple Timing Functions

Rather than installing separate timers for different activities, Fort Meade required a single display capable of handling multiple timing applications. The custom DC-80UTW-BTC provides the flexibility to quickly change operating modes based on the training event.

Available functions include:

  • Count up (elapsed time)
  • Count down from any preset duration
  • Time of day clock display

This versatility allows the display to support physical training, timed drills, station rotations, and general facility scheduling without requiring additional equipment.

Ideal for Physical Training and Timed Exercises

During physical fitness events such as running, the DC-80UTW-BTC operates in count up mode to display elapsed time. For station-based exercises, instructors can preset countdown durations such as 15 minutes—or virtually any required interval—to keep training sessions organized and on schedule.

The ability to transition between modes with a wireless remote minimizes setup time and allows instructors to focus on training instead of equipment adjustments.

Wireless Control for Fast Operation

All operating functions are programmed into a wireless remote control, allowing users to switch between timing modes from a distance. This eliminates the need to access the display directly and provides greater flexibility when the timer is mounted in large indoor or outdoor training areas.

Wireless operation is especially valuable during military exercises where rapid adjustments and clear visibility are essential.

Large LED Display with Long Viewing Distance

The DC-80UTW-BTC features bright 8-inch LED digits that are easily visible from approximately 400 feet away. This viewing distance exceeds the length of a football field, allowing trainees and instructors to monitor timing information from virtually anywhere within the training area.

The high-visibility display helps improve coordination while ensuring everyone can clearly see the active timer without crowding around the unit.
