The DC-40UTW is designed to function as a countdown timer, count up timer, or time of day clock. Whether managing scheduled maintenance, coordinating loading operations, tracking inspections, or monitoring timed processes, the display can be configured to match the specific timing requirements of the task. Switching between operating modes is simple, making the timer suitable for multiple departments without requiring additional equipment.

One of the system’s most valuable features is its included RF wireless handheld remote controller. Operating on LoRa radio technology, the remote provides dependable wireless control from distances up to 1,500 feet outdoors and more than 300 feet indoors. Operators can start, stop, reset, set values, change timing modes, or blank the display without needing direct access to the timer. The compact controller easily fits into a shirt pocket or the palm of a hand, making it convenient for supervisors and operators working throughout large facilities.

The display utilizes DC-Digital’s shift digit technology, allowing precise timing from hundredths of a second while automatically expanding to display minutes and hours as elapsed time increases. It can count upward to 99 hours or count down from as much as 99 hours, making it suitable for both short-duration events and extended operational processes. When timing functions are not needed, the display can operate as a highly accurate 12-hour time of day clock.

Bright red LED digits provide exceptional visibility from distances up to 200 feet while maintaining a wide viewing angle for personnel positioned throughout the work area. Standard models feature 4-inch digits, with additional sizes ranging from 1 inch to 30 inches available to accommodate virtually any viewing distance or installation requirement.

The rugged aluminum enclosure features a durable black powder-coated finish designed for demanding industrial environments. Optional NEMA 4X and IP66 enclosure configurations are available for installations exposed to moisture, dust, or harsh outdoor conditions. The display is powered using a universal 120–240 VAC power adapter and includes audible piezo alerts for countdown completion as well as confirmation tones during remote operation.
