We\u2019re excited to share a custom project recently completed for a client with a very specific need: a <strong>six-digit industrial counter<\/strong> used to track boxes on a conveyor belt. This custom configuration, based on our DC-606C-TERM-IN model, introduces unique features tailored to the customer&#8217;s operational setup and brand requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike our standard counter models\u2014which typically include increment, decrement, and zero reset functions\u2014this version was built <strong>without a decrement option<\/strong> by customer request. The focus here is on <strong>incrementing counts via a sensor<\/strong> as boxes pass, and resetting the count via a <strong>manual palm switch<\/strong>, giving the customer simple and effective control for their process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Custom Features of the DC-606C-TERM-IN<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Blue LED Display<\/strong>: At the client\u2019s request, we swapped our standard red LED digits for <strong>blue LEDs<\/strong> to match the company\u2019s branding and logo scheme. The display size is a <strong>large 6-inch format<\/strong>, ensuring clear visibility from a distance in industrial settings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reflective Sensor Input<\/strong>: The unit uses a <strong>DC-DIFF-SENS-10<\/strong> diffusive reflective sensor to trigger the increment. This sensor supports both NPN and PNP outputs, and we configured it to use the <strong>PNP output<\/strong> for compatibility with our counter input. It has an <strong>adjustable detection range of 0 to 10 feet<\/strong>, offering flexibility for different conveyor setups.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Palm Switch Reset<\/strong>: A rugged <strong>SW-1-HD-Black<\/strong> palm switch is used for manual reset. This 40mm switch comes pre-installed in a junction box with <strong>25 feet of cable<\/strong>, allowing it to be mounted in a convenient location for the operator.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enclosure and Mounting<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Powder-coated aluminum extrusion case<\/strong> for durability and a professional appearance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Four teardrop mounting tabs<\/strong> are installed along the top row on the rear of the case for secure mounting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Power Supply<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accepts <strong>120 to 240 VAC, 50 to 60 Hz<\/strong>, via a <strong>6-foot, 3-prong indoor power cable<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wiring and Connectivity<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pre-labeled wires make installation straightforward:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For the sensor: <strong>12V DC<\/strong>, <strong>Increment<\/strong>, and <strong>Common<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For the palm switch: <strong>Reset<\/strong> and <strong>Common<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both the sensor and the switch have clearly labeled wires for fast and accurate connection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The sensor package includes a <strong>mounting bracket, nut, and a screwdriver<\/strong> to secure it at the proper orientation and adjust the sensing distance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is a perfect example of how we can tailor our products to fit <strong>specific customer needs<\/strong>.
